Words that Touch
To you who drink in
words that touch
like trout
drink streams,
this round
is on me:
a poem on the death of your dog.
A poem differentiating a broken heart
from a lost mind.
A poem for loving your neighbors.
A poem of an old day.
A poem for a new night.
A poem in the shape of good sex
in the dark, and with the lights on.
A poem that hums like honeybees.
A poem of piñon woodfire smoke.
A poem saying it will be ok
although it is not
